Small businesses cut costs with cloud computing

The cloud isn’t just for the big guys anymore.

Online computer applications and virtual data storage were once the domain of major corporations, but these days, cloud computing is increasingly going down market with services available to midsize firms and even small shops.

KPK & Co. is a five-person public relations and video firm, but CEO Karin Koser found that they needed mobile applications for team members to stay connected with each other and clients.

"E-mail helps, but we have to share files and our work requires the sharing of large-size files," she said.
